A carpenter has decided to make a personal injury claim after he was injured in an accident at work. The man fell ten metres while he was fitting a platform at a building site. A lack of communication at the site meant that a crane took away the platform that the man was working on and this caused him to fall a distance of ten metres.
The impact of this huge fall left the man with serious injuries. He sustained broken ribs and a broken pelvis and he also suffered internal bleeding. As well as this, his right elbow was broken and he has been told that it is unlikely that he will recover from this.
The victim had to spend six weeks in hospital for his injuries and he had to have a metal plate put into his arm too. But he has not fully recovered from the pain and now has very little feeling left in his hand as a result of the damage caused. This has also caused problems for the man in training for a new career.
